If you’re interested in volunteering at John B. Kelly, there are a variety of ways you can support the students and the school.
Participate In the Structured Recess Program
If you’re available any day between 10:30 AM and 1 PM on school days (Monday – Friday) and want to help supervise our structured recess activities, let us know! Activities include everything from jump rope and hula hoop to helping in the garden and learning new games.
Assist In the Classroom
“I’m surprised to find myself back in the classroom, but the value of spending time with kids one-on-one can’t be over-stated. It makes a difference…to both of us.”
-Marlena (current Kelly volunteer)
Volunteers are also assisting in the classroom.
Lend a hand to teachers and the administration in order to further our neighborhood children’s education. Contact us for more information on how you can help.
Work With Students In the Student Garden
Put that green thumb to work. A student garden is up and running at Kelly, resulting in a new garden club at the school. Lend a hand and help Master Gardener Michele Koskinan teach students about the bountiful beauty of gardening.
