Vegetables are coming up in the garden at John B. Kelly School. The Garden Club members are tending, transplanting and waiting for the tasting.
Students at the John B. Kelly Elementary School in Philadelphia’s Germantown neighborhood plant a vegetable garden with a little help from education students at Arcadia University.
Second-graders at the John B. Kelly School contribute to the school’s vegetable garden, part of the Kelly Green Project, by planting seeds and monitoring their growth. The project offers valuable experience in scientific observation and documentation, along with the joy of watching living things grow!
On June 15th, 2013 Kelly students, their parents, volunteers, and neighborhood folk came together and moved their bodies in support of the Kelly Green Project, Kelly students, and the achievements that have been made at the school and the progress yet to be made.
